A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.
How true is that?! One can say any foolish thing to a dog and he will be thinking “Wow! You’re right!” Yes, they drool. Yes, they dig up the newly planted petunias. Yes, they are always ready for a walk or want to play.
But: They are always happy to see you. They are always loyal. They are sweet and most of the time they are funny, too.
We are very grateful for the SPCA who take care of so many “unwanted” animals, what a superb job they all do! As we are aware, this worthy Non-Profit Organization faces regular shortages in food supply and we recently paid them a visit to see how we could assist.
We managed to sponsor food for dogs and puppies, cats and kittens and even arranged with a local farmer to sell us some donkey feed. As may be expected, the guys were all very happy – it was great to see the smiles!
Always being mindful of security measures, we noticed that the CCTV system was antiquated. It was decided that this is something that we could assist with and sponsored them with and attended to installation of a replacement CCTV system. Once again, seeing those grateful smiles were enough to make anyone’s day!
What a great experience it was working alongside all the animals, it was a great eye opener and they would’ve all become part of our family if only it was possible. Never again will an SPCA can at a till point go unnoticed or without our donating: it doesn’t matter how small the contribution, every bit helps. We appeal to you to please consider doing the same – the small change that cannot even buy a small packet of Simba chips can be put towards feeding all our homeless furry friends.
